Premium golf ball packaging and custom golf boxes
The retail unit in golf is the three-ball sleeve, at roughly 1.7 by 1.7 by 5.2 inches, and four sleeves make the standard dozen box at around 6.9 by 1.8 by 5.3 inches. We also produce 15-ball and 24-ball value packs, single-ball sample sleeves, and outer shippers sized to hold whole cases without wasted volume.
Sleeves are usually straight tuck end or seal end cartons with a tear strip. Dozen boxes take the same structures in heavier board, or go rigid for premium lines. Corporate and tournament sets use two-piece rigid boxes with a fitted tray, one well per ball, plus space for tees, a marker and a divot tool.
For accessories, we make blister and clamshell packs for tees and markers, tuck cartons for gloves, and hanging cards with euro slots or J-hooks for pro shop peg walls.
Materials and sustainable golf box options
SBS paperboard at 18pt to 24pt handles sleeves and dozen boxes and gives the print surface that logo work needs. E flute corrugated at 1.5mm goes into shippers and heavier multi-dozen packs. Rigid greyboard from 1.5mm to 2.5mm is for gift and corporate presentation boxes.
Golf stock sits in cart barns, pro shop storerooms and outdoor events, so humidity matters more here than in most retail. Aqueous and moisture-resistant coatings keep board from softening and stop print scuffing on cartons that get handled repeatedly.
FSC certified board, recycled kraft, PCR content and soy based inks are available across all of it. Plain paperboard and corrugated golf boxes are recyclable in most US programs. Laminated, foiled and rigid gift boxes generally are not, and their environmental case is reuse rather than recycling, which for a presentation box a golfer keeps on a shelf is a fair one. We will tell you which claim your specification supports rather than printing a general one.
Design and branding for golf packaging
Golf brands live or die on shelf recognition in a pro shop, where a customer is choosing between six sleeves that are all the same shape. Color blocking and a legible model name do most of that work, and the finishes carry the premium positioning above it.
Print is full CMYK with Pantone matching. Finishes include foil stamping, embossing, debossing, spot UV and soft touch lamination. Soft touch with a foil logo is the combination most premium ball lines use. Interior print on gift boxes costs little and changes the moment the lid lifts.
Logo ball programmes for corporate outings and club events need short runs with fast artwork changes, which digital printing handles without new plates each time.
Quality assurance and manufacturing
Every job is proofed before production and colour managed across the run, with brand colours held to a Delta E tolerance so a reprint six months later matches the first batch. Print is produced to ISO 12647 process control.
Structural samples go out before full production, and where a retailer requires transit evidence we can build and test to ISTA 3A. Our facilities are ISO certified, and the same procedures apply from prototype through to full production runs.
Let us manufacture your golf packaging
We work from the ball out. Send your ball count per pack, your sleeve or box format, quantity and finish preference, and we return a free custom dieline and a 3D preview before anything is cut.
Low-MOQ ordering starts golf boxes from 100 units, so a small ball brand or a single club can order proper custom packaging without warehousing a year of stock. The same structure scales to national sporting goods volumes with no redesign. Production runs about 7 to 10 business days after proof approval, with a rush option from 4 to 5 business days on print ready artwork, which matters when packaging has to land ahead of a season opener or a tournament date.
Tell us what you are packing and how many, and we will quote the structure, board and finish to suit.
