Why Choose Cardboard Boxes with Inserts?
Best Protection for Your Products
Inserts come in several materials, and the right one depends on your product’s weight and how fragile it is.
- Die-cut corrugated fitments. The most common and most economical. Good for boxed goods, bottles and kits.
- Molded pulp. Formed fiber trays, plastic-free and recyclable, strong for glass and cosmetics.
- EVA and PE foam. Highest cushioning per millimetre, used where products are genuinely delicate.
- Anti-static ESD foam. For circuit boards and electronics where static is the risk, not impact.
- Thermoformed PET or RPET trays. Clear, precise, good for retail presentation.
- Folded paperboard platforms. Light, cheap, suited to flat or light items.
Outer cartons run E-flute at 1.5mm, B-flute at 3mm, C-flute at 4mm, or BC double wall for heavy loads. Single wall at 32 ECT covers most parcel routes. Heavier or high-value shipments step up to double wall, and can be built to targets under ISTA 3A or ASTM D4169 transit testing where a retail partner requires proof.
Send your product dimensions, its weight, and a sample if you have one. We build the insert cavity from those rather than adapting a stock tray.
Professional Look for Your Packaging
The insert does presentation work too. It decides what the customer sees first when the lid comes off, and in what order pieces come out. Full-color CMYK printing with Pantone matching covers your logo, brand colors and product information across the carton and, if you want it, the insert itself. Add soft-touch lamination, foil stamping, embossing or spot UV to the outer. Interior print costs little and changes the whole opening moment.
Cardboard Boxes for Every Industry
- Electronics: Protects devices, cables and accessories with foam or ESD-safe inserts and cable channels.
- Cosmetics and beauty: Serums, makeup kits and perfumes held upright in molded pulp or corrugated fitments.
- Food and beverages: Bottles, jars and boxed items separated for transport and retail. Paperboard in direct food contact meets FDA 21 CFR 176.170.
- Gift boxes: Multi-item sets with a cavity per piece for jewellery, perfumes and small accessories.
- Subscription boxes: Repeat-run mailers with a fitted tray that keeps every unboxing identical.
Eco-Friendly Boxes
Cardboard and molded pulp inserts are recyclable in most US curbside programs, and FSC-certified board, recycled kraft and PCR content are available across our formats.
Two honest caveats. Foam inserts, including EVA, PE and ESD foam, are not curbside recyclable and are not biodegradable, so a pack using them cannot carry a blanket eco claim. Heavy lamination and foil on the outer carton also affect recyclability. If a plastic-free pack matters to you, specify molded pulp or corrugated fitments and we will build to that. We will tell you what applies to your exact specification rather than putting an unqualified claim on the pack, which is also what the FTC Green Guides require.
