Incense packaging has one problem no other category shares, and most suppliers ignore it. Fragrance and essential oils migrate. They soak into uncoated paperboard, stain kraft from the inside, bleed scent between adjacent SKUs in a shipping carton, and over months they attack adhesives and can lift print. A box that looked fine at dispatch can reach the shelf marked and smelling of the SKU beside it.
We solve it with a barrier. Depending on oil load, that means a coated inner surface, a greaseproof or PE lined liner, a foil laminate sleeve, or an OPP overwrap on the finished pack. Overwrap does a second job, holding scent in so the customer gets the fragrance at full strength rather than what survives six weeks on a shelf.
Everything else is specified to your brand: size, shape, board, colour, finish, logo, pattern and artwork.
Features of our custom incense box packaging
Board runs SBS at 14pt to 18pt for slim stick cartons, kraft for a natural look, and E flute corrugated at 1.5mm for shippers and heavier gift sets. Rigid greyboard from 1.5mm to 2.5mm handles premium presentation boxes.
Structures include long slim tuck end cartons, sleeve and tray, flip top boxes, cylindrical tubes, hanging cartons with a euro slot for peg display, and two piece rigid boxes for gift sets. An 8 inch stick pack typically sits around 9 by 1.5 by 1 inches, though we cut the dieline to your bundle rather than to a stock size.
Printing is full CMYK with Pantone matching, plus white ink on kraft. Finishes cover matte, gloss and soft touch lamination, foil stamping, embossing and spot UV. Window panels in PET, RPET or paper based film show the sticks without opening the box.
Incense sticks have brittle bamboo cores and snap easily, so inserts matter here more than the format suggests. Folded paperboard platforms, corrugated fitments and internal dividers keep bundles from shifting and breaking in transit.
We also lay out panel space for burn instructions, safety warnings, scent name, count or gram weight, ingredients and barcode.
